Vatican

he had so much joy in him that he could not contain it

so he went looking for other bodies

he said, look, i shake

my core, it trepidates!

the magnitude of his feelings latched into other people

through ropes that held the things of minerals

a ground formation,

he could balance, bottle the chalice

thus he offered love with his eyes and his ears

his mouth never spoke, it only sang

he said friend, don't walk, dance

so me and you came and went,

we gathered round his main cell like animals in a desert oasis,

mingling round him,

dangling, dangling

drinking from that source of sparkling liquid

and then that wine geyser sprinkled, it sizzled

stopped

what startling transformation!

none of us expected it.

he had the body, to be sure

but he moved

weird

accumulated splints at last gave

way

i think his ropes got

severed

now no matter what he did he could not feel!

and that's just the way it was!

he doesn't know where it went

we think and hypothesize

but still he sits in silence

smiling without feeling

crying without weeping

sleeping without

sleeping
