Sagittarius

i tried to befriend the doldrum wind,

i could neither grasp it or renounce it

because i had begun it but i could not finish it

air, notos, zephyr

they fell with ease in procession

and then got up in a breeze

you should've seen my stunned expression

you sag,

it was a fall 10 stories high

like a great eagle of passion it was you who jumped from the ledge straight

down

the sunshine hit your wings,

gave you a god-like crown

and the second before landing

lest concrete slabbing,

a parachute unrolled

and you flew away!

to leave me at bay.

for i had dug up the concrete ten times over,

you know,

i had made it all water

but i guess air prefers to hover

and to brook the doldrum wind

it shows to be impossible
