Remember Yourself

remember yourself,

remember yourself.

don't forget

look,

my stomach aches in the fluorescence,

can you believe it?

this entire offering of light reaches out from a million miles away,

but I'm within a rectangular bedlam, just at bay

two eyes curse my name

as their stomachs turn

i think they are on my face

inside sad broken blinds,

white vinyl floors

yes, an entire building with punched in walls, everyone has a limit of zero minutes to look out the hole

you have to pay, of course

to step outside, at day

it's so unnatural

an office?

a spinal bow?

i know there are people depending on you,

but my life count is one and the choice is simple

give yourself permission

so long as you breathe

there is always an option
