The blaring alarm

The rooster in the farm

be-bebe-beep

do-dodo-dooo

"Fatigue" is no understatement,

An unnamed malaise clasps your swollen face,

An 18-wheeler must've tackled you in sleep

Scrambling for a pair socks, Checkered-under-wear

one, right

two, left

crack crack

some scrambled eggs

shove o-j down your throat,

some toast some toast

𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘮𝘴 𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧

shoes, on,

keys, gone

𝘵𝘰𝘰 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥

all's well, you're almost ready

almost ready

𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘦

turn the knob of the front door

so excited, so excited, that your legs

shift

under the

sheets

oh, shoot!

you're back in your bed-

it was all in your head!

come, now,

scramble for a pair of socks

leopard-under-wear

two, one

left, right
