I Took the Devil by the Hand

I took the devil by the hand and knocked upon God's door

It is true that someday I resided

upon the heavens

But that was before

I met the heathens

You see, I was merely walking along the path in-between,

Following the thread, yes, my intent was then to lean

You see I had finished my path,

Found the door into the land

Yes, right there, alone, I was about to knock upon god's door

Reached out my hand

Clenched my wrist bleeding

I was shipped back full speed

Pulled back into the former land,

Pulled back into the very beginning

It was the outlier I'd noticed in my travels

Yes, he was the reason

I'd noticed him he had

A twinkle in his eye a hate profound

I'd run and run fast

So now upon God's door

I was running back full speed

So now upon God's door

Did I knock upon god's door?

Again I walked among the many within the maze

Noticed an outlaw, it was he

The twinkle in his eye

He was hugging himself with all his might,

Bones clenched I could see passion digging out his veins

Suddenly the many left it was him it was me

He didn't know I was watching I didn't know I was dying

Approached him I felt a shudder

A tornado, overcome by a wind pushing him

under

He was hugging himself with all his might,

a hate so profound yet it was himself he raked

Of course I was kind I was impartial, I simply

Moved closer with ammo, to put a stop his tornado

Leaning in with care,

A forbidden acropolis

I was overcome by a stutter

For he'd slowly lifted his face,

From the cave inside his arms

I stumbled my heels

Left me i froze in space holding his effervescent gaze

His expression i cannot describe,

my heart stopped beating

All i could do was stare

A burden hulled so deep,

I cannot tell you but he'd

lost his words

After the shock left I started feeling my bones again

I could not stop the scream from leaving my throat

Wordless it thrummed through the roots of the labyrinth ground

Verklempt with dread,

I begun to feel myself against space

My feet upon the ground then his face,

His face

My past impartiality seeming of a different world,

Forbade the ammo I impaled my gut took out my heart

Placed it in between his chest and mine

Embraced him so hard it crushed the heart

He shook, a fervor, I felt him burning

For the first time his eyes saw mine

He saw the pathway, saw what i had done

Looked at me first in terror then disbelief

He tore away himself from mine he saw the hollow in between his chest and mine.

He grabbed my arms like thunder,

Shaking them back and forth he croaked,

what is my name?

He shook my arms in increasing intensity, but I said nothing, for he was not looking at me

I said within my mind, I offer you the hollow,

I cover you with a blanket, embrace you with no morrow,

My Great I thought, I smiled in peace knowing my gaze he'd caught

He stopped,

shifted his eyes to look at mine--

First hesitating then desecrating

As if following a fast train crashing back and forth

he raced from my left eye to right in dashes

Again shaking my arms and looking into my eyes

"WHAT IS MY NAME?!"

This time he screamed

I said I offer you the hollow,

embrace you with no morrow,

O my great, you are

A star

upon the

morn

That is when he thrust himself upon me, embraced me with such an intensity

That all i can say is i heard him running back upon the door in pained ecstasy, his ghost carrying my dead body

Yelling, "i must knock upon the everlasting world"

And when we arrived upon God's door,

he crushed the ground beneath His mat and pushed me under

I held Lucifer's gaze and he mine, and so we fell deeper into the land the maze

So now upon God's door

Did He knock upon god's door?

Back then upon God's door,

In the beginning's ending,

Had I knocked upon God's door?
