i am covered

layers of hibernating thundercloud

a sky that is grey bc no stars are bound

i am wearing layers and layers of

coats

and my shoes, well, their tops are thick but they have no

soles

dove in i dove

but even under swollen bark

covered by the heaving mass of water,

it was not enough

there is a man in an off-shore land

watching me, he knows where I am

so i arched my whole body under pressure

in fanatic haste i wreathed left to left

but did so slo-mo, per that underwater haze

and, one by one, I was pulled further under

down into the floor of sand

deep under pressure,

sucked into the ocean bed

inside that dark of heave i said i am covered

i am covered i am covered

and i moaned
