Are You Religious?

we've all been there

when you had such high hopes for a chat

but they pulled up with that oblong question yet again

that drawled, redundant, boring question with no known end

one even themselves do not understand,

"are you religious?"

it always takes me a moment to register

longer if i thought you knew further

and then i play all the scenarios in my head, as i always do, and take my pick to tease you on what you have already decided to understand for yourself.

i say yeah! oh my gosh GOD amiright?

what makes a lad religious?

there's just so much controversial association with religion

that the question in itself is at most times an attack

it is really much more than that,

it is really much more than that

the breadth of my beliefs

and ask a question more than that
